Change Data Encryption Supported to No
Hello,
For DD2500, on entering;
# show system show serialno detaild
Serial number:xxxxxxxxx
Chassis Serial number: xxxxx
Data Encryption Supported: Yes
I created user > assigned Security Officer role
Destroyed File System
But still Data Encryption Supported is showing Yes
Any way to Disable it so it shows Data Encryption Supported: No without CLEAN install of DDOS
If Clean Install of DDOS, then what is the parameter to be used to disable.
Thanks.

It is working now, got expected output;
"Data Encryption Supported: No"
In PXE installation, modified "initrd" file and added parameter "encryption=disable" > Performed PXE installation > Got expected result.

I assume at this point you didn't enter any licenses? If so, unless there is some eval mode in DDOS, I guess it might refer to HW.

Is this HW or SW encryption? Because if HW, it might simply be that it detects HW needed and it reports to be ready. I don't use encryption so I really don't know it - this was pure guess top of my head.

Should be software only I guess. But not sure what "Data Encryption Supported" points to on entering that command, whether HW or SW.

The data encryption option will allow you to encrypt the data at rest. I am pretty sure you have an encryption license. You can create the filesystem and then disable encryption using the following command "filesys encryption disable" if you don't intend to use it.

It is supported but once you disable it will be turned off.
