Update Fails on my SCv2020
I'm trying to update my SCv2020 running 6.6.5 to 7.1.2.
- I've tried supportassist and it fails saying it cannot find the URL.
- I'm now trying the Update Utility 1.1.1.8
- The unit contacts the utility and download the file and the utility says it has completed.
- The logs show the files being downloaded before it errors saying
- Peer filesync operation failed with status: 1
- Failed copying files to peer controller
I've tried using a direct connection but it seem to be an issue on the unit.
Help pls....
TIA

it sounds to me like your IPC path between the 2 controllers is down. Call Support to have this looked at.
The IPC path allows the firmware to be copied from the lead controller to the peer controller during an update. If the path is down then the update will not be copied over. Support needs to determine which controller should be fixed. The issue is shown here: http://www.dell.com/support/article/sr/en/srbsdt1/sln307508/sc-storage-customer-notification-eth1-ipc-path-might-go-down-on-scv2000-series-and-sc4020-controllers?lang=en
To avoid this you should set your BMC/iDRAC IP to be non-routable: http://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/04/sln301450/sc-storage-customer-notification-scv2000-series-bmc-ip-address-considerations?lang=en
