Hello,

Since the same hard drive could be used in Compellent, EqualLogic and MD, you must Order it from Sales with Compellent firmware.

If you contacted Sales and told them you need Compellent and that is the drive you received then it should work in Compellent.

I would expect it to have a firmware sticker on it if it is Compellent:

Hello Salah Humaida,

What is the Dell part# that is on the drive?  With a compellent system you need to use a compellent drive in order for it to be seen correctly.  If you are only trying to match the drive by the manufacture model# then that drive in most cases will not work.  When you tried to replace the disk did you follow the steps listed in this link? https://dell.to/3kOLOsz

Hello Salah,

I'm not sure if your issue is solved or not, try to source the drives under the Dell part number: 5H3XX. But make sure thay are having a Compellent firmware on them.

DELL EMC SAN Model Number is: SCv3020

Failed Hard Disk Part Number is: ST1800MM0129

Replaced Hard Disk Part Number is: ST1800MM0159

all other parameters are the same but it shows in "EXTERNAL DEVICES"  with the same name i.e 01-04.

Ok and you have the code of the hard disk in the label? It should be something like CN-0 and a alfanumeric code.

I need to know if this hard disk is supported with this storage.

Hi,

Based on the picture that you have provided, the new drive is not compatible with SCv3020 nor Compellent storage. You will need DPN # 6FV4P or # 49TJM (which is the complete build for SCv3020).

Dear Team, please let me know one thing, as per the below article "Replacement drives may be larger or faster and may also be from a different manufacturer"

please clear this confusion.

Hi,

Are you referring to the article and Compellent Storage drives? The article is for Servers and MD storages, not caterred to Compellent storages. You can refer to the summary title.
