SCv3020 new disk no allocate
Hi
I have attached an SSD disk.
It's all green. I have reblanced the raid, but after 3 days - the disk is not being populated.
No errors. No alerts.
Raid is not full and has enough free space.
This is not spare disk, beacuase distributed spare is already working..
What can cause this behaivor?
Is there any limit of 14 disks only?

Hello,
The issue is usually caused by wrong firmware on the new disk, it must have Compellent firmware, otherwise the SCv3020 will not use it.
Another common reason is that the storage pool is too full, so the system cannot start rebalance.

Hello,
Is this a validated disk for the SCv3020?
If you post a screen shot of the drive label I can check if it is validated for the SCv3020.

Acutally i have other SC's that do work with this exact model.. so i guess it is SC certified.

Do you know if it was order specifying that it is for Compellent storage?
Try posting an image of the drive label and I can check.

Every site i have checked - it looks like valid Compllent disk
And also - this model is working on other SCv3020 i have.
