Compellent training
I was considering taking the Compellent 4-day Administration and Advanced Management Training class.
Has anyone taken it and is it worth $5000?
We recently installed a Compellent SAN in a primary/DR configuration and I am a newbie.
Thanks

I took the 4 day Administration class from and found it very helpful. I have over 15 years of SAN experience so I went in with a sober opinion regarding the quality of the class. I was very impressed with the instructor and the hands on HW opportunity being new to Compellent at the time. I should mention that I traveled to one of the Dell sites which added to the hands on experience. In other Dell training I've taken I haven't always had hands on with the HW but they have always provided hands on labs on the associated SW. A benefit to taking the class and becoming certified is you'll be able to do your own installs and HW upgrades as long as you maintain you certified install status. (Requires yearly updating at an online cost of several hundred dollars.)

Thanks for your response on this. Would it be appropriate to take the course for someone with almost no previous SAN experience, but have been working with a large Compellent for a year and a half without any formal training? Or is it meant for someone fresh with no Compellent understanding?
