Spare request failed because the drive belongs to a non-redundant RAID group
because if it misses a hot spare in a CLARiiON CX4-240, get the message: Description Spare request failed because the drive belongs to a non-redundant RAID group?

If a disk fails in a non-raid protected group or the disk is a hot spare, no replacement takes place - this is by design.

Miky,
Firstly, please consider relocating this to the proper community for maximum visibility. You can do so by selecting "Move discussion" in the upper-right and selecting, in this case:
All Places > Support Community > CLARiiON Support Forum
Can you verify whether or not the RAID Group associated with this request is of type RAID 0? If so, as the error message suggests, the drive that it was initiated from has neither a mirror or parity to rebuild from.

Thanks for responding, I think that the error occurred because the disc that failed was the spare and the not to be able to call so it.
It gave that error.

Thanks miky for the update. That also makes sense if it error was on behalf of a hot spare that itself had failed.
