I have an FC RG. It does not show any LUN but space is being consumed. When I checked the properties, offset LUN are showing. Please advise what are they and can I delete them. No other LUNs are apprearing.
Please advice? I need to free up some disks.

if you don't need them and they are not assigned to any storage group, sure

did it actually say "offset" ..are you sure it did not say private ? I can only think of private LUNs taking up space (MetaLUN components, LUNs used for reserved LUN pool).

Yes they are. Actually there is a RG with 402 GB and about 100 GB is consumed. No LUNs are showing, however when go into details by selecting its properties and select partitions, 02 LUNs with 50 GB are appearing. They are mentioned as offset and owned by System i.e. Storage. I wanna delete this RG but not sue if I can delete above mentioned LUNs

ok so LUN 74 and 75, you need to find them and figure out if they are being used by reserved lun pool, clone private lun or components of metaLUNs.

Thanks much. Above LUNs are not in any of the mentioned pools (i.e. reserved lun pool, clone private lun or component of meta luns). Now can I simply delete them.

Thanks dynamox for the support. My understanding with private luns is clear now and resolved the issue that I was facing.
