Can't access NaviSphere web gui (grey screen)
I used to be able to go into navisphere for my storage processors in any browser. Now I cannot get into anything. I've tried IE9, Firefox 16 and Google Chrome.
I see the Navisphere Manager graphic for a few seconds and then it just goes to a grey screen. Nothing ever loads. The URL has /pluginchk.html appended to it.
Any ideas?

Can you try following:
Go to Java Control Panel > Delete the Temporary Files.
Verify below settings:
Press Okay
Close all the IE and make sure IE is open with the Add-Ons while opening a new IE and see if it works?

Well I can access it via Windows XP Virtual Machine using IE8.
Just can't access it from Windows 7 64-bit IE9/FF/Chrome. It used to though, so what is different and how can I find out what version Java is on XP and 7? Three browsers though? I thought Java was per browser.

Ok on the Win7 machine it shows Java 6 Update 35 (build 1.6.0_35-b10).
On the WinXP machine it shows Java 6 Update 37 (build 1.6.0_37-b06).
I guess next I will try to update java to update 37 on the Win7 machine.
What is the minimum requred version?

Ok just clearing the temp files didn't work, so I upgraded to Java 7 Update 11 (from 6 update 35 as mentioned before). Then I follwed your instructions and moved the slider to medium. Having Java 7 is essential for this process because in Java 6 this screen just does not exist. Navisphere loads properly now! Thanks so much for your help!

I have been spending hours in trying to launch navisphere manager 6 on an itanium server running windows server 2003.
there is an oracle database installed on this server running java 1.4.2.14 (the java -version command)
I cannot find any JAVA CONTROL PANEL installed in the computer panel.
I have searched for a "java plugin" installation for itanium servers but haven't found any.The Oracle site says that it is not included in the sdk and jre version 6. Java 7 is not supported for itanium servers.
When i try to open Navisphere Manager with IE7 it tries to open an applet but doesn't run it.
When i try to open Navisphere Manager with Firefox i get a grey screen.
Do you have any suggestions?

I know I am not helping with your question but is there a reason you need to run Navisphere on that box and not on your winxp/win7 or any other x86 box for that matter ?

JAVA 7 is not suppported - we've seen weird issues with 7. The minimum should be 1.6.30 - that's the one that I use on Windows 7 and XP and it's very stable.
