Using free space on first five FC disks on Celerra NS-120
I heard statement that it is prohibited to use free space on first 5 disks in FC shelf, where are located Clariion and Celerra files,
that this is against guarantee agreement
and if you use it you not only lose gurantee, but also may have problems with perfomance of celerra
I am new to Celerra, but I am sucseffuly used these disks on Clariion CX3-10c
are this statements true or not?

it's not prohibited to use those drives, just need to be careful what type of workload you place there:
Look for section that talks about vault drives

Hi,
If you are using integrated Celerra this free space will automatically get assigned to NAS with HLUs 16 & 17 and you may use it even though it is not recommended. As per my understanding there is no guarantee issue which may be wrong also. There will not be any performance issue in using this, but it is better not use this space if you have user space left .

thanks, I knew It
I have another question
Now there is 6 LUNs from celerra
Will Celerra need more space in future on this RAID Group or I can use all free space?

Celerra will not be requiring additional space in future from this drives. It reserves space in the 6 control LUNs while installation itself. You may use the free space in case if necessary.
