Redundancy question on ethernet connectivity for NS480

Friends, we have 2 blade servers on an NS480 unit. Each blade server has 4 ethernet ports (Cge0-3). We only have one network switch. Ideally would like to have 2 switches for redundancy instead of 1. What's the best way to connect/configure? Please advise.

Thanks,

RP

you can create 3 port LACP trunk and 1 stand alone connection inside of an FSN , when the new switch gets installed move the stand alone connection there. Another option is to create two 2-port LACP trunks and add them to an FSN (one trunk will be standby), and then move the standby trunk to the new switch.

no plans of getting another switch ? I would configure 4 port LACP with the current config.

If the second DM is a standby then it needs to have the same config as the primary

If you plan to add a 2nd switch soon then you should design for it now instead of changing later

Are you meaning 4 port trunk on one DM and a similar config on the 2nd DM going to the same Network switch?

We are in the process of getting a 2nd Network switch for redundancy.
