Move a filesystem from one VDM to another VDM
Folks,
I want to move a filesystem belonging to a cifs server in VDM-1 (on server_2) to another cifs server in VDM-2 (on server_3). Can i unmount the filesystem from VDM-1 and directly mount it to VDM-2 or do i have to first mount it on physical DM and then VDM-1? Please note, i just want to move the filesystem not the cifs server, so i do not want to do the move operation.
Thanks very much.

yes, you can permanently (-perm) unmount file system from one VDM , create mount point on second VDM and mount it there. If you have checkpoints associated with that file system, you will need to take care of those first.

Your old shares pointing to that fs will become invalid of course
