Migrating a CIF server to a new filesystem - Delta files
Hi,
I want to migrate a cif server from a filesystem to a new one. original fs is 16TB, the new fs 5TB.
I'm currently copying the data using server_archive -r -w -J options
But I was wondering if there's any option to copy just the new files after the initial copy is finished.
From what I could see nas_copy (I think it was) does have an option to do that but both fs should have the same size.
So if there's no other option I'll use robocopy.
Thanks

have you looked at "-u" parameter of server_archive ?

Sorry for the late reply, I haven't checked that option but will do it tomorrow.
One more question if anybody knows,
Is it ok to create and/or delete cif shares using the computer management by just connecting to the cif shares and selecting the shared folders options?
I understand there's no problem on doing that, but some people told me it's better to do it through the control station or celerra web manager.

There is no "better" way in doing this.
Do it the way which is most comfortable for you.
