How to move filesystem from one storage pool to other
Hi all,
we have ns80 integrated celerra with two storagepools ie performance and economy.performance pool has 15 filesystems and economy has only one. we want to move the filesystem on economy to performance pool without any downtime. need to know other ways apart from emcopy, robocopy and backup&restore.we dont have replicatorv2 licensed. thanks in advance.

Unfortunately the Clariion block code doesnt prevent you from doing so – it will move the LUN but later AVM gets confused.
So PLEASE refrain from using LUN migration on NAS LUNs unless you are sure that it’s a supported config.
When in doubt please ask support for guidance.

There are no other ways
If you need it for temp. migration it shouldn’t be a problem to get a temp. Replicator licence for free from your local EMC contact

Thanks rainer for the reply, do we need downtime if we migrate using replicatorv2? i'm wondering if there is a similar solution like Lun migration in clariion, so that we can copy the data on the volumes in the backend, dont know if we can use navicli in ns80!!

Replicator would mean a very minimal downtime
In your case since you are changing disk types you can't use LUN migration

do you have the procedure if i use the same disk type on destination ? i will certainly try to get the temp license for replicator v2 but curious to know if we can do it in back end? i appreciate for your help.

You can move your NAS devices from one RG to another only if you have a same RAID/Disks topology. So cannot move FS from one NAS pool [clar_r5_performance] to another with LUN Migration.
Check primus emc144545 for more explanation.
