Hi,
nas_inventory is a command, that provides detailed information about the hardware components in the system.
Let me check if it is available in support material logs
Thanks

Hi,
I just checked in a test box, you can try the following
First get the location of the hardware by executing the command :
nasadmin@ ~]$ nas_inventory -list -location
Component Type Status System ID Location
Battery A Battery OK VNX VNX5700 CKM0011170xxxx system:VNX5700:CKM0011170088xxxxx|clariionSystem:VNX5700:CKM0011170xxxx1|sps::A
Battery B Battery OK VNX VNX5700 CKM0011170xxxx system:VNX5700:CKM0011170088xxxxx|clariionSystem:VNX5700:CKM001117xxxx|sps::B
Control Station 0 Control Station OK VNX VNX5700 CKM00111700881xxxx system:VNX5700:CKM0011170088xxxxx|controlStation::0
Control Station 1 Control Station OK VNX VNX5700 CKM00111700881xxxx system:VNX5700:CKM00111700881xxxx|controlStation::1
then issue the nas_inventory command specifying the location
[nasadmin@ ~]$ nas_inventory -info "system:VNX5700:CKM00111700881xxxx|controlStation::0"
Location = system:VNX5700:CKM00111700881xxxx|controlStation::0
Component Name = Control Station 0
Type = Control Station
Status = OK
Version = 7.0.14-0
Serial Number = CKM00111700xxx
Note: The location string must be enclosed in double quotes.
Let me know if this helps
Thanks
Vanitha

Hi Vanitha,
Can you have a look at the control station hardware to check the serial number (physically, to confirm the serial number). I doubt this serial number is not of the C.S .
