files deleted -- looking for magic undelete button
We believe we already know the answer to this question but we must ask it anyway. We have removed some files from a NAS filesystem that was nfs mounted. We performed the remove from a unix server that had the file(s) mounted with nfs. We now know that we must get those files back asap. We have issues with the backups on this. Is there anything in the NAS filesystem managed by the Celerra that would allow us to retrieve the data ... sort of like a windows arrangement where stuff gets stored in a trash bin until the trash is emptied? Anything at all to help us get this data back? Thank you.

Hi,
If you have configured the checkpoints for the filesystems then you can retrive the previous version files, if you havent configured the check point then you have to depend on backups..
Thanks

Yup. We didn't have checkpoints set up and I assumed that this would be the answer. Had to ask anyway. We will also assume that your answer is the correct one and that you deserve the "correct answer" points. :-). Thank you.
