Disabling callhome and associated warnings in nas_checkup
Every two weeks, an automatic checkup is done on our Celerra (DART 6.0.40).
I get two warnings each time, one about scheduled callhome files left undelivered on the /nas/log/ConnectHome directory, and one about the fact that the automatic transfer feature is disabled. See the typical nas_checkup log below.
This situation is normal because we are on a military site and a separate network. Is there a way to disable these warnings completely - we do not intend to activate callhome at any moment so these warnings are simply polluting the checkup logs.
Thanks in advance for any help.

------------------------------------Warnings------------------------------------
Control Station: Check all callhome files delivered
Warning HC_CS_18800050328: There are 1 undelivered Call Home incidents
and 1 scheduled Call Home files left in the /nas/log/ConnectHome
directory(es)
Action :
Check the /nas/log/connectemc/ConnectEMC log to ensure the connection
is established correctly. To test your Callhome configuration, you can
run /nas/sbin/nas_connecthome -test { -email_1 | -email_2 | -ftp_1 |
-ftp_2 | -modem_1 | -modem_2 } command. View the RSC*.xml files under
the /nas/log/ConnectHome directory(es) and inspect the CDATA content
to find out and possibly resolve the problem. To remove the call home
incidents and files, run the command "/nas/sbin/nas_connecthome -
service clear". Otherwise escalate this issue through your support
organization.
Control Station: Check auto transfer status
Warning HC_CS_18800050417: The automatic transfer feature is disabled.
Action :
EMC recommends the automatic transfer feature to be enabled via
command:
/nas/tools/automaticcollection -enable
or from Celerra Manager:
1. Select Celerra > [Celerra_name] > Support. The "Support: Log
Collection tab" appears.
2. Select Enable Automatic Transfer.
3. Click Apply.
By default, support materials will be transferred to ftp.emc.com,
but you can modify the location in the
/nas/site/automaticcollection.cfg file. For more information, search
the Knowledgebase on Powerlink as follows:
1. Log in to http://powerlink.emc.com and go to Support >
Knowledgebase Search> Support Solutions Search.
2. Use ID emc221733 to search.

The problem reappeared after a Dart code upgrade. The general way to configure the checks (either pre-upgrade checks or pro-active health checks) is to edit the file /nas/tools/upgrade_check_tools/checks.txt, find the lines related to the checks you want to suppress, and then modify the column labeled "modes" :
In my situation, I had to delete the "pro" mode for the lines check_all_callhome_files_delivered and check_auto_transfer_status to disable the corresponding checks as we are on a dark site.

There is a primus solution for this.
Please check emc245571.
If you can not read the solution, Please contact the Support Center and cite this solution ID (emc245571).

To access the Connect Home settings, logon to Celerra Manager as root. If you logon as nasadmin, the settings will be greyed out.
Once logged-on, Go to Support, and you should see Enable Automatic Transfer deselected. On the Connect Home tab, you can also disable Email, FTP and Modem outgoing notifications. This may eliminate the 'callhome files left undelivered' warnings, but I don't think there is anything you can do about 'automatic transfer feature is disabled'. I recently disabled Enable Automatic Transfer to eliminate an FTP error, and started getting 'automatic transfer feature is disabled'.
However, you could try disabling Email, FTP and Modem; then selecting Enable Automatic Transfer. I'd be interested to know if that eliminates the unneeded warnings.

I found two primus solutions to stop sending alert "automatic transfer feature is disabled" by nas_checkup.
emc250869
emc238389
If you can't see the fix, you better consult with EMC support personnel to apply the fix.
Thanks,

The problem reappeared after a NAS code upgrade, because the directory /nas/tools (and the subdirectories) will be overwritten during Code upgrades. Changes like this are not permanent
