Celerra Volume Configurations
Hi
I have few questions on Celerra
1. Stripe Volume can be part of Storage pool?. Or only Disk volume can be part of Storge pool?
2. what is stripeCount and stripeSize property in the Storage pool? Is it refers to Stripe Volumes?
3. Can we make Stripe volume out of slice volume and group the stripe volume to make it as stripe meta Volume? disk-->slice-->stripe-->meta
4. Can we make Slice volume out of Stripe volume and group the Slice volume to make it as Slice meta Volume? disk-->stripe-->slice -->meta
Thanks

Hi,
please take a look at these two manuals which are available on Powerlink:
Managing Volumes and File Systems for VNX Manually
Managing Volumes and File Systems with VNX Automatic Volume Management
1. yes, you can put stripe volumes into a pool - that's what system pools do.
2. yes
3./4. yes you can with completely manual volume management.
That doesnt make sense with user defined pools though - there you just put stripes into the pool and let AVM slice and concat them as needed.
regards
Rainer

Block (Clariion) meta LUNs aren't supported for NAS file systems besides not being needed
Please take some time to read the volume managent manuals to learn how it works
