Celerra SP-A SP-B IP Change

I have to move the existing NS20 device to a new location and as a result I have to change the IP addresses of control station/CIFS and SP-A/SP-B.

I can change the control station/CIFS IP from Celerra Manager but how can  I change the IP addresses of SP-A/SP-B?

For changing the SP IP’s you need to follow the procedure that is described in the knowledge base

Thank You,

One last query, the storage on my NS20 is CLARiiON CX3-10 CK200074500109.

So what article number should I follow to change the IP address? Is it emc174327 or emc154920?

Thank you for the article number.

I am using the Data Mover Version: T5.6.46.410, so I just need to execute the following command to change the IP address right? Can I change the IP addresses of both SPA/SPB at a time. I could not find detailed explanation in emc174327.

clariion_mgmt -modify -spa_ip 10.0.0.0 -spb_ip 10.0.0.2

when i did it on my NS20 a few years ago i first change my control station to new ip/mask and then ran this command

/nas/sbin/clariion_mgmt -modify [ -spa_ip ] [-spb_ip ]

i can only assume that it picked up subnet mask/gateway from the control because it never prompted for it.

Sorry, I need to change the IP's of SP's. Data Movers IP can be changed thru GUI.

Do I need to enter the subnet mask as well? Where can I get the CLI help?

if my memory serves me well emc174327 modified /etc/hosts file with the new IP address, if it does not happen you can always do it later after you complete emc174327.

Hi Dynamox,

I have a similar question as Avilt, but with some different hardware.

I'm looking for information as for the method to change ip address for a VMAX and a VG8.

Any known primus for those equipements ?

Thank you
