Can I add DAEs to the unit and direct attach servers to the LUNS?
Hi.
We have a Celerra NS40FC (non gateway) integrated version. Can I add DAEs to the unit and direct attach servers to the LUNS like I do with our CLARiiON CX700 and CLARiiON CX496? Or is the system NAS only?

Hi Brian,
if its really a FC version – then yes
If not you need to buy the extra FC ports and the NaviSphee license
check using /nas/sbin/model and if you have free FC ports available on the builtin CX3-40 Clariion SP and if NaviSphere is installed

yes, on the FC units you can connect additional FC ports to your switches and use it as a regular Clariion.
