Avamar restores ACLs from VM image backups?
Currently on 7.2
To clarify my question a bit further, is it possible to do a granular restore (file level) on a server in which its backup dataset is that of a virtual set? I've successfully used the aclrestore=true flag for other datasets, but not anything image based. I have a number of VMs getting image based backups, but when I try to do a granular restore of a single folder, ACLs and any other rights do not seem to be preserved.

It is not currently possible to restore ACLs using Avamar file level restore. If you are using Data Domain as the back-end storage, instant access will likely be the best workaround.
