x17 R2, VR connection issues

Alienware x17 R2

Alienware x17 R2

Hello,

I have Alienware X17 R2 Laptop (Fully Loaded)

I also purchased the HP Reverb G2 VR Headset

I connected the cables and everything was good until a couple of days ago. I was able to play Squadron without any issues, but IL-2 Sturmovik, when I moved my head the plane would move as well, except one evening it worked well too. In my effort to get that to work properly, I reset everything and now I get the following message when I load up and run Mixed Reality Portal.

Make sure the USB cable is plugged into the SuperSpeed USB 3.0 port.

Under Device manager...

-Mixed Reality Devices

-- HP Reverb Virtual Reality Headset G2

--- Properties

Under Device Status

This device is working properly.

Device Error : 0x80040203 : E_DEVICE_USB_SPEED_TOO_SLOW

According to the specifications, this cannot be correct. When Mixed Reality Portal check my system, it stated I meet the minimal requirements.

  • Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1080 or AMD Radeon™ RX 5700 (NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 3080Ti)
  • Processor: Intel® Core™ i5, i7, Intel® Xeon® E3-1240 v5, equivalent or better (12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-12900HK[Cores 14] [Logical processors 20])
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM or more (64 GB)
  • Video Output: DisplayPort™ 1.3 (One mini DisplayPort 1.4)
  • USB Port: 1x USB 3.0 Type C® (One Thunderbolt 3 (USB Type-C ) / Other ports: Two USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports
One USB 3.1 Gen 1 with PowerShare)
  • Operating System: Windows 10 May 2019 update or later (Microsoft Windows 11 Home)

I fear I have changed something inadvertently. I cannot explain why it connected and worked and now it doesn't connect. I do not understand how it can say my connection is too slow where it worked well (not sputtering or freezes, just what I mentioned above).

I made a similar post on the HP forum in case it is there issue and not Dell's.

Thanks in advance.
