x14 R1, how can I file a complaint or take action

Hi, I purchased a brand new Alienware x14" laptop on Nov 28, 2022 from Best Buy. I noticed the Wi-Fi was losing signal and I contacted Dell customer service in Mid Dec, they suggested it could be due to my router or outdated driver and all the basic trouble-shooting stuff. I day-trade and this manufacturing defect has lead to financial loss since I was not able to place any orders due to defective wireless card or motherboard and it has caused me extreme anxiety and stress.

I submitted a ticket, after going through endless trouble-shooting steps, the customer service arranged a technician to replace the Wi-Fi card on my brand new laptop, but the problem still persists. I have requested to exchange my laptop as I don't want a refurbished. Although I contacted them 2 weeks after the purchase of this brand new laptop, now they refuse to send me a replacement, but instead they are offering to change the motherboard. This is extremely annoying unprofessional and disappointing and I don't want a refurbished laptop for which I paid the full amount.

Can anyone please guide me on filing a complaint with the corporate office. Where should I start?

Thanks and much appreciated.

You need to read the terms of sale you agreed to when you initialized your system.

https://www.dell.com/learn/us/en/uscorp1/terms-of-sale-consumer?c=us&l=en&s=corp&cs=uscorp1

Even if you did contact Dell in two weeks, Best Buy's return period is only 15 days -- Dell's own 30-day policy doesn't apply to retail purchases.

Your only option is repair -- complaining at this point will only delay the resolution.

If you haven't tried a different router in another location, that would be a very good idea before scheduling the repair -- it's absolutely not clear at this point there's anything wrong with the system.  A wireless connection is only going to be as good as your connection to the access point.

Hi @James A. welcome to this free user-to-user Alienware laptop discussion forum.

Please use more than 1GB Ethernet cable between Laptop and your Internet Modem Hub to get trouble free connection at maximum speed.
