m18 R2, upgrade to second NVMe drive, heaksink needed
Alienware m18 R2
I want to add another drive just to get some more space. I watched a few videos and noticed Dell doesnt provide another heaksink with this laptop beside the boot drive. I was talking with MashIt you tube channel and he said the NVMe drives with heasink pre-installed do not fit. I'm trying to find heatsinks and answers?

Any of the WD, Seagate, etc. drives with factory installed heatsinks are designed for desktops - they won't fit. The metal plate Dell fits is more a mounting bracket than a heatsink -- there's no room for an effective heatsink inside the system, and any heatsink is only as effective as the fan next to it that moves the air.
