m17 R2, BIOS version is wrong on newest update

Had memory integrity errors and disabled core isolation and virtual machine platform. Now trying to update bios, displays file version error.

What specific file did you download? Note, our BIOS updates cannot correct a fault with Intel XTU.

It's supposed to be updated by support assist but fails due to file version error.

All other updates install easily. Just get bios file version errors. Also Can't turn off the vulnerable driver blocker. toggle is grayed out. So dell needs to get the driver verified by microsoft before it will work! Now to just sit back and relax!

When trying to update bios to 1.18.3,  alienware update fails due to a bios password that doesn't exist!

Hi to AncientMRG and erob17

The execution of these BIOS Installers is blocked by Windows 11 22H2.

You'll find information and a workaround here: https://www.dell.com/community/Alienware/m17-R2-BIOS-installer-blocked-vulnerable-driver-amifldrv64-sys/m-p/8293332/highlight/true#M55560
