"DS: System is not staying asleep when lid is closed, what can I do?"
I have the settings set that to sleep when the lid closes and after 15 minutes. This issue is causing the power to drain quick.

Modern Dell laptop "sleep" option doesn't actually turn anything off, and when laptop lid closed or in transit the battery charge may drop to nearly zero, before automatic power off. Laptop will be constantly draining power, enough power that it is always hot, even when it is not doing anything. The heat problem is many times worse if put in transit bag, etc., since it gets excessively hot in the enclosed bag.
Solution is to change everything to "hibernate". Basically, you have to go into the Advanced Power settings, and set it so that after 15 minutes (or however long) your computer hibernates (instead of sleeping).
