Area-51m R1, boot after shutdown PXE

When Ethernet cable is connected I get "Start PXE over IPv4 on MAC".

I remove the ethernet cable and system comes up correctly. I then attach ethernet cable and ethernet comes up and runs.

Moments ago I installed the latest patches, and a BIOS update, so software is current.

This problem just started happening a week or so ago.

I think a restart works OK (Not completely verified)

Checked boot entries Windows file is first, and I disabled the other 2 entries.

Let me know if there is a solution!

Our DELL-Cares agents are still awaiting the Service Tag via their private message. But, consider booting into the BIOS and checking the boot options for PXE. If found, disable it.

Update = Thanks, they got the Service Tag.

* Restart and press F2 to enter the BIOS
* Go to Boot
* Under Boot Option Priorities, make sure the Boot Option #1 is [Windows Boot Manager]

* [Onboard NIC (IPV4)] and [Onboard NIC (IPV6)] should not be Boot Option #1

DonnaCK,

Are you saying that the order was incorrect and you changed it to above?

The order was and is correct, since I first looked at it. Somehow the BIOs gets the idea to boot from the network. The machine has booted fine for a year or so, the problem just started a week or so ago. That is why I updated the Bios, and applied updates for the network card. Once the machine boots, I plug the ethernet cable in and the ethernet works fine.

I got into Windows support, They suggested I disable Secure Boot. Did that and now I boot fine. Not sure what Secure Boot is, but I guess I dont Need it!
