Area-51m R1, add more m2 slots instead of the 2.5" SSD?

Hi!

Was wondering if there was a similar workaround like this one for the Area-51m R1?

Can't find anything other than that 2 x m2 slot interposer for the Area-51m R2.

But I need one for the Area-51m R1.

Could this work for the Area-51m R2 as well?

Thankful for all the helpI can get.

Hi @Fressno welcome to this free user-to-user Alienware laptop discussion forum.

The Alienware Area-51m (R1) motherboard does not have two cable sockets for the Alienware Area-51m R2 Sled.

The internal 2.5-inch bay has 1TB SATA HDD which can be replaced with up to 4TB SATA SSD. Alienware Area-51m | Memory RAM & SSD Upgrades | Crucial.com.

There are many types of external enclosure that will accept two M.2 NVMe SSD cards on Amazon and eBay.
