18 Area-51 AA18250, HDMI port graphics
Does anyone know which of the two graphics cards (onboard or NVIDIA) handles the HDMI connection on the new Alienware 18 Area-51 AA18250 laptops? I'm wondering if I'll be able to connect it to an external gaming monitor and get similar performance from the NVIDIA 5000 series card as I would on the laptop screen.

It looks as though the Nvidia card handles the HDMI connection. You can click here to view the information.
