17 R3, letters don't capitalize with shift keys
Alienware 17 R3
A weird problem has been bothering me. When I press shift key and a letter, it does not capitalize. Some keys work with shift and some keys do not work with shift. can someone suggest what could be the problem? I have checked the sticky keys, toggle keys, keyboard language, driver update and uninstall options from Device Manager.
Have I missed any other to check?

Try a USB keyboard to see if the problem still exists. If not then it may be a keyboard hardware problem and not a Windows problem. Also this page at the MS forum may help.

@JOcean USB keyboard works flawlessly.
Any diy video that I can follow to replace the keyboard myself ?

@shravan_dell Try this video at YouTube from Parts-People and thay also have replacement keyboards here.
