Website Won’t Load Only on Alienware Desktop

I’ve recently run into a very strange problem with my Alienware desktop, and I’m hoping someone here might have run into something similar or can point me in the right direction. The issue is that my Alienware system seems to be blocking access to my personal website under certain conditions. I run a small site that I use for portfolio work, and it loads fine on other devices like my laptop and even my phone. But when I try accessing it through my Alienware desktop, the site won’t load at all it just times out.

At first, I thought it might be a general network issue, but after testing on other computers connected to the same router, I ruled that out. Everything else on the desktop loads perfectly fine gaming, browsing, even heavy downloads so the internet connection itself isn’t the problem. It seems specific to my website. I even tried multiple browsers on the Alienware (Chrome, Edge, Firefox), cleared cache, flushed DNS, and reset network settings, but the site still won’t open.

What’s odd is that when I use a VPN on the Alienware desktop, the site suddenly loads without issues. This makes me wonder if there’s something in the Alienware software stack (maybe related to Alienware Command Center, network prioritization, or Killer networking drivers) that is interfering with certain domain requests. I know Alienware desktops often come with custom network software, so I’m curious if others have had conflicts with personal sites or specific domains being blocked.

I’ve also checked the firewall and antivirus settings on my desktop. I use Windows Defender along with Alienware’s built-in tools, and I made sure my site’s domain isn’t being flagged anywhere. Strangely, when I disable the firewall completely, the issue remains, so it doesn’t look like the firewall rules are the direct cause. I even tried temporarily uninstalling a few utilities like Killer Control Center just to test, but that didn’t resolve it either. Sorry for the long post.

Check the logs on your web server -- and the hits even getting through to it?  If not, I suspect it is an issue with your VPN or VPN settings.

Is the site in question encrypted with a valid certificate issued by a recognized security authority?  Modern browsers will by default block insecure websites.

Thanks for jumping in with that suggestion. Yes, my site is encrypted and does have a valid SSL certificate issued by Let’s Encrypt, which should be recognized by all major browsers. I double-checked the certificate details in Chrome on another device, and it shows as fully valid with no warnings about security or encryption. That’s part of what makes this so puzzling—it doesn’t seem to be a case of the site being flagged as insecure or blocked for having an untrusted certificate, since the same domain loads fine on my laptop, phone, and even on the Alienware itself when I run it through a VPN.

What throws me off is that the failure only happens when I try to connect directly from the Alienware desktop without a VPN, and it doesn’t generate the usual browser security warning you’d expect if there were a certificate problem. Instead, it just hangs and eventually times out, which feels more like a connectivity or routing issue than a certificate rejection. The fact that other devices on the same network can open the site normally makes me suspect there’s something unique in how the Alienware software stack handles traffic.
