AW3423DWF, screen menu opening and scrolling on his own
Alienware 34 Curved QD OLED Gaming Monitor AW3423DWF
Yeah so the problem is pretty much in the title.
I've never really touched the button at the center bottom of the screen and yet now it seems like it's going off on his own.
When the monitor is on, the Alienware 34 Monitor menu is opening on his own and scrolling through all the options, never stopping. When I manage to close it, it doesn't even take 5s for it to reopen and start again.
Any idea how to stop that ?

Contact their support as I did and they will replace your monitor. My replacement hasn’t had any issues and the replacement process was swift.

If you're facing issues with the AW3423DWF monitor where the menu opens and scrolls on its own, start by checking for external interference from nearby devices. Verify the cable connections, update graphics card and monitor drivers, and reset monitor settings to default. Ensure there are no conflicts with calibration software or other running applications. If problems persist, try a factory reset on the monitor. If the issue continues, consider reaching out to the manufacturer's customer support for further assistance.

@Rayoyo_
Hey Rayoyo, hope all is well.
I was wondering what the resolution to this problem was, I have found myself with the same issue.
I've only owned the monitor around a month and it was absolutely perfect until 2 days ago.

To receive assistance from Dell support agents they need to first verify the ownership and warranty status. Click the blue "Get Help Now" on the right to start a private live chat session. Share the private AW3423DWF Service Tag with them.
* Turn the AW3423DWF off
* Disconnect every cable and USB device from the AW3423DWF
* Press and hold the power button for 8 seconds
* Reconnect the power cable and one video cable to the AW3423DWF
* Turn the AW3423DWF on and retest

Experiencing the same issue.
Screen had a good run for 14 months until now.
OSD menu would randomly start scrolling slow and keep changing the Alienvision and menu options over 1-5 minutes would gradually pick up the speed until it was super fast.
I was able to somehow lock the osd menu.
Now im getting a massive Lock icon in the middle of the screen every 5 seconds for 3 seconds.
The actual knob is not responsive and im unable to unlock it now.
Nothing was changed around the workspace when this issue occurred. Tried checking the cable fitments. Unplugged/replugged/used different sockets. Updated drivers, AWCC and AW Display app. Did not help.
Im nearing the last resort of opening the back panel and poking around the knob connectors

Is the only way to fix this RMA? My 7 month old 3225 just started doing this. Firmware AWCC and driver update does nothing to remedy.

Mine started doing it today. its going back and I’ll not be bothering with Dell again. A problem posted in February and one dell representative who’s given a half assessed attempt to resolve! Outrageously poor!

Just had the same issue too. Been told they’re going to send me a new unit, but they don’t have the “part” until December 4th, and then they’ll let me know. Shaping up to be well over a month until I can use my monitor, which working from home is problematic. Dell helpdesk person was really helpful and pleasant and got this arranged quickly, problem is with Dell themselves not being able to move quickly.

Mine did the same just after a year. They did nothing to help me fix or let alone do anything replace under warranty. The monitor is useless, no matter what I do to that button it just kept coming back up. I ended up having to buy a new monitor from another company, why I let myself get sucked in by alienware I should have known better given their track record over the years. Terrible service, terrible monitor. The only monitor i've ever owned stretching back to CRT days that ever broke. I guarantee there is some real cheap piece of plastic / mechanism they put into the monitor switch that saved them like 10 cents a unit yet bricked this 800 dollar paper weight I have now.
