AW3423DW, missing VESA adapter

Question

Hi,

I have the AW3423DW however it is missing the VESA adapter within the box. Wondering how can this be resolved without going through a phone line? Would it be possible to resolve through email or by Forum or by the website instead?

The online AW3423DW User's Guide page 7 states =

This must be why your AW3423DW did not ship with the VESA adapter.

The Dell internal parts page for the AW3423DW does not list a part number for the VESA adapter. This means that the manufacturer places it in the box for applicable countries.

They are only going to write one generic User's Guide. They are not going to write multiple different User's Guide for those countries that do not receive the VESA adapter.

The online AW3423DW User's Guide  page 38  also states ' attaching VESA adapter is optional' then on the next line  it says 'by installing the supplied VESA adapter' 'attaching VESA adapter is optional' means to me, that the adaptor can be fitted onto or not to the back of the display. ( so that one can attach a wall mount (not supplied)) The next line says ' by installing the supplied VESA adapter'

Hi thank you for your quick reply . I got the monitor in the UK , unfortunately the VESA adapter is required since the mounting holes on the back of the monitor are not VESA compliant.  The UK DELL website for the monitor shows that the monitor is 100 x 100 VESA mounting interface however this is not true without the VESA adapter to adapt from DELL mounting system to the VESA mounting interface advertised .  What would be the best way to acquire the VESA adapter for this monitor in the UK ?

The VESA adapter is missing from the packaging cushion. Was not included in the box , and unfortunately is needed to make the monitor VESA compatible.

All indications are, according to the manual, this part is supplied ( if it is indeed the model you have).

Odds are ,this vesa adapter is custom made for that Dell monitor. I would contact customer service and insist that they send you the missing part or return the monitor if possible.

I don't see why it would not be available for the UK. ( no footnotes in the manual)

What would not be available for the UK is the north American power cord.

Pretty ridiculous that the adapter does not come with the monitor. I bought mine in the USA and the adapter was not in the box. Check Reddit and other tech forums and this is a common issue. Dell needs to fix this as this is an egregious oversight and lack of QC especially for such an expensive product.

I wanted to buy the 34 inch but the vesa is not delivered with it in France. Plus Dell doesn't sell it! They told me I have to look on Amazon! Is this a joke!? On OLED screens at these prices I have to scramble to find the adapter on Amazon! Especially since the only ones I find on the internet are made in 3D printing. Too bad I'll have to go see a competing brand
