AW2725DF, what does the M3B104 firmware version do?
I upgraded the AW2725DF from version M3B103 to version M3B104. What does this new firmware update do?

@YGFGKJ If the monitor is functioning, I would not attempt to downgrade the firmware. A failed firmware install could break the monitor.

Where did you get M3B104? I do not see M3B104 on the AW2725DF Drivers & Downloads page. All I see is M3B103 =

If the firmware was downloaded from clientperipherals, it's not official and is not support by Dell.
For the firmware from AW2723DF monitor:
Fixes & Enhancements
2. Fix issue of monitor shows different sharpness effect between left and right side of screen.
3. Fix different luminance issue between RGB/YcbCr limited and full range condition.

I found the direct URL to the update file in Alienware Command Center's logs, you can download it here: https://clientperipherals.dell.com/AWCC/Display/AW2725DF/Alienware_AW2725DF_FWUpdate_M3B104_Windows.exe

The Alienware team pulled M3B104 3 months ago from the Drivers page. Unknown as to why, but I would not install it.
Chino was simply showing you what the "Firmware & Enhancements" would show on a monitor firmware if still ised in the Drivers page.

@DELL-Chris M I installed the update before I started this thread, is that a problem? Do I need to downgrade?

@YGFGKJ Do you even know how to downgrade? I've tried relentlessly to go back to M3B103 from M3B104 and the installation never takes. Any help would be appreciated.

@xHxzardous I never tried downgrading, I left it like this because I had no problems with the M3b104 version. I don't recommend taking the risk because there is a risk of having problems trying to downgrade. I think it makes more sense to leave it like this

@YGFGKJ I have been having horrendous HDR/pixelated blacks issues so downgrading would be ideal as a troubleshooting option, in my case. Would love to know how to do it properly because every time I try the "installation" finishes in .5 seconds and says it was successful despite the monitor still showing M3B104 in the OSD panel information.

@xHxzardous I couldn't resist and just downgraded m3b104 to m3b103. It changed to m3b103 in the osd menu. I only had to plug in the cable and update to the old version.

@YGFGKJ This gives me an idea of where I might find a solution so thank you for responding. My rollback experience was not like this, so now I have to figure out why that is. If you don't mind me asking, what cables did you have plugged in to the computer from the monitor when you rolled back the firmware?

@xHxzardous The DP cable and the power cable, I think it was the cable required for the display to work. Also the update cable that comes out of the box for firmware update.
