Aurora R4, fan goes to full speed and then it shuts down

Alienware Aurora R4
Alienware Aurora R4 desktop starts and after a few minutes the fan goes to full speed and then it shuts down.
Came with win 7 pro and has been upgraded to win 10 home. After shutting down it doesn't feel hot nowhere you touch it. I have never changed anything on it. When it is on it does just fine, no errors pop up ...nothing. I have run diagnostics on it and everything passes.
i7 processor, overclocked to 3.8 from factory, 16 Gb of ram. geforce GTX 680 video card.
This computer is old but it's never gave me one bit of trouble till just recently.

No, I'm not angry at all. But if I decide to go for another computer, I'll build it myself. I can buy the parts myself and get lower prices and there is "no" assembly fee associated with it. This Alienware will be the last pre-built I ever own. Why pay someone to do something I can do myself.

Power supply dipping rail voltages results in typical issues like you are experiencing. That's where I would start looking. If you have another PSU handy that is an easy check. If not, a multimeter is the best option.

Followed this post but unsure of true / possible cause of the shutdown issue, I personally would not try to open/clean/re-use an AIO cooler, the stock cooler is 27mm wide, best to replace with the upgraded 38mm wide R4 cooler part# 01YGW
Use with a premium thermal paste like Gelid, Arctic Silver 5 at the minimum, conduct test w/new cooler & report back ... Power Supply is part # J556T or W299G 875watt
Keep an eye on the lower right & the top mini-motherboard fans, make sure they still spin

1. If just booting to desktop, One tube should be warm/hot and the other tube cool (as that tube has liquid coming FROM the radiator). Both tubes hot sounds like clogged-up or worse.
2. The original Asetek cooler in my Aurora-R1 is still working fine (going on 12 years now). I have the (newer model ) 01YGW Alienware spare but it's still in the box. Yeah, a while back several people had clogging-trouble with a new Asetek variation (plenty of posts here about that).
You can always just pop-on a low-end Intel-i7 heatsink/fan-cooler, and clean-install Windows (preferably to a SSD) to verify your motherboard is good or not.

@Cass-Ole
I'm glad I did take it apart I might have found my problem. If you look on page 6 of this thread you'll see the pics of how much coolant came out of it after 8 years. It does evaporate and the guy in the video I watched was correct about it. Buying a second hand one might give me the same problem I have now because there is no way to tell if it needs to be refilled or a way to refill it without taking it apart.
I only took the cold plate off and turned it upside down to empty it out and see how much was in it. There was no way enough coolant in it to do its job and keep the CPU cool.
I appreciate you wanting to help but buying one used from ebay might be just as empty or only work for a little while. My pump works fine, it just needs more coolant added.
We'll see if taking it apart was good or bad.

Coolant came in and I put some in it. Used a large feeding syringe to fill it, it took 5 and 1/2 syringes to fill it whereas it only had about one come out ... if that? So, no there was not enough coolant in it.
Now let's see if it seals back?
Crosses fingers
