Aurora R16, adding a second SSD

Silly question, but still: looks like the second SSD slot on the R16 board comes without a screw... The manual says M2x3, but I bought one and it looks tiny and bound to fall inside the chassis if I try to install it... can anyone confirm what type of screw is needed?

There is a standoff on the board the screws goes into. Pending on the size of the SSD and the slot configuration, 2280 or 2230, you will have to move the standoff to the correct location prior to installing the SSD.

The screw does not go directly into the board.

I wanted to reuse some of my 2.5" SSD's and behold, Dell in their wisdom gives us a HDD tray in stead (in 2024)! Does anyone add mechanical drives?!

I had to order a tray adapter from an older Dell model.

@irsh_ Any 2.5 to 3.5 adaptor will work. Many of them cheap on Amazon.

@Vanadiel Yup, I think it was $9 and allows me to fit 2 drives.

Double sided tape also works. Not really professional, but it works well since these external SATA drives are super light.

Got the tray addition today, worked perfectly. Three drives working now (1 x NVME, 2 x 2.5" SSD).
