Aurora R14, possible to move my SSD into my new PC's motherboard?
I am building a new PC to upgrade to AM5. I love my R14 and it has done me a service but I want something new. I was wondering if it is possible to use the SSD inside of my Alienware with Windows 11 installed on it and transplant it to my new motherboard in my new PC. If so, how would I get Windows 11 to work and do I need a new key?

Make a complete backup of your original drive, then use sysprep tool to create installation media for your new system.
There's no guarantee this will work perfectly, but it will be better than just putting the drive in the new machine.
The OEM license cannot be transferred so you will need a new Windows license.

Transplanting a Windows install from one system to another is never guaranteed, so don't try without a full, verified backup of the system. The drive itself will work fine.
Windows would at least need to be reactivated, and whether or not Microsoft will allow that is open to question. Technically, they do not have to -- the original license is tied to the system you're replacing. In other words, you can try -- but likely will need a new Windows license.

For certain, you will need a new Windows license. A Dell volume license with Microsoft account will not be allowed to transfer to other machine, only a retail license is.
Also, be wary of those cheaply sold license keys https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/cheap-activation-keys-legit/97ac65c3-87f3-4cdc-b0e6-7ca9ba017111

Hi @Triptucker445 insufficient information.
Do you have an Alienware Aurora Ryzen Edition R14 which can have SSD M.2 NVMe and/or 3.5-inch SATA hard drive Storage? Advocate create clone (copy) of the (C:) boot drive which will retain all the licenced software keys. Use the Macrium Reflect Free Edition x64, or similar clone software. Now is the opportunity for your new customised AMD AM5 PC system board (aka motherboard) to have a larger ultrafast M.2 NVMe (C:) boot drive clone to plug and play.
Having checked that everything works, the old Alienware R14 and licenced software keys can be retired.
