Aurora R14, 1000W Platinum PSU chassis option clarification

Question

Hi

I recently ordered an Aurora R14 with the "Dark side of the Moon 1000W Platinum Power Supply, Advanced CPU Liquid Cooler & Clear Side Panel" option selected under the chassis options section (which is btw, the only 1000W PSU option and it does NOT have the solid side panel option).

From the "spec" page on the "Your order is complete" page after you submit payment, it says

Dark side of the Moon 1000W Platinum Rated Power Supply, Liquid-Cooled Processor & Clear Side Panel

But if I look at the "View specifications" link from the my order page, it says

Chassis Options
Dark side of the Moon 1000W Platinum Rated Power Supply, Liquid-Cooled Processor and Solid Side Panel

Item number: 321-BHSR

And even more confusing, when I just spec it out on the dell page (before add it to cart), on the "View full spec" link, it says

Chassis Options Dark side of the Moon 1000W Platinum Power Supply, Advanced CPU Liquid Cooler & Clear Side Panel [321-BHUI] / GC32ZLM

Notice how the part number is different 321-BHUI vs 321-BHSR

I would like to know for my order, am I getting the "Advanced CPU Liquid Cooler & Clear Side Panel" option or the "Liquid-Cooled Processor & Solid Side Panel" option?

Clearly the "Advanced CPU Liquid Cooler & Clear Side Panel" is what i want and what i chose from the order page, and there isn't an option on the "Liquid-Cooled Processor & Solid Side Panel".

Appreciate if someone can clarify.

Here are the description and sku for the different parts

Dark side of the Moon 1000W Platinum Rated Power Supply, Liquid-Cooled Processor & Solid Side Panel [321-BHUJ] / GN30FCQ

For my order, I had 321-BHSR (this is being referenced consistently between my email confirmation, order spec, packing slip), but the description is stated as Solid Side Panel

So this could just be a typo in the description since the real sku for Solid side panel is 321-BHUJ

I believe Dell cart > view full spec is what you are supposed to get.

I just tried to order one. In my Dell cart > view full spec it says chassis option is what I picked. But since your order > view spec gives you something else, you need to call up Dell sales and give them your order # to clarify.

Thanks for the quick reply. I guess I am confused with what the order confirmation says vs my order page says (and also there isn't an option for solid panel on any R14 order page, and yet it shows up on my order detail)

ones says clear panel (confirmation page) and one says solid panel (order detail page)

Mine was ordered thru phone with a dell order quote (yes, i had to because of a cancelled order, unfortunately).

Any additional insight would be appreciated. Thanks

when you have human manipulation in order it is more prone to human error. The computer based online ordering process is more smooth although might not be 100% error free either. Call up Dell to triple check and verify.

Your confirmation email should have the build sheet with all of the part numbers, software, warranties etc. That is what you are receiving.

Not only that but you should be able to view the spec sheet in your order even before it ships. I know several of my orders had what parts were inside.
