Aurora R11, won’t boot, unable to repair

Alienware Aurora R11

Alienware Aurora R11

Hi all, hopefully someone can help me with this issue

Just today, my system was unable to boot. It was working fine this morning and then had a crash and now will no longer get past the alienware logo screen.

I have tried numerous repair options so far. Ran the pre-boot diagnostic. No issues were found. Try to reinstall Windows. However, the installation is frozen on numerous occasions.

Reset, the bios to default settings.

Not sure what else to try as now I can’t even boot into safe mode.

Discharge the flea's first: flea power

If that does not bring it back to life:

Remove and install coin cell battery: Coin Cell

Wow. Discharging the fleas fixed the problem!
what causes that to happen/how can I prevent this from happening again?

It's residual power from electrostatic energy. Usually caused by things like carpets and woolen sweaters etc...

If it builds up enough it can cause interference with electronics. It usually discharges slowly over time by itself, but sometimes it needs a bit of help.
