Area-51 AAT2250, brand new, not recognizing any mic plugged into mic jack
<Moved out of Alienware Consoles and into Alienware Desktops. DELL-Admin>
I have a brand new Alienware Area-51 AAT2250. Everything works except for the front panel mic jack. It does not have a pop-up when a mic is plugged in. I've checked all the drivers and uninstalled the RealTek drivers then rebooted to reinstall them, but no luck. I've checked all the other settings following various tutorials, but no luck. The headphone jack works fine and does a popup when I plug in headphones. It's only the mic jack that doesn't offer a popup when I plug in a dedicated mic (not a headset). Please help, thank you.

@DELL-ChrisM2 Hi! I solved the problem, it was the headphones being so old that their mic jack just didn't work. I had to buy new ones for testing and that solved the issue. Thankfully it wasn't the PC.
Can we now delete my post or mark it solved?
