데스크를 케이블 없이 깔끔하게 사용하기 위해 구입한 다양한 포트와 네트워크 이더넷까지 지원한다고 소개하는 U4323QE 모니터를 내 맥북과 USC-C 연결을 했지만 1GB 의 속도를 이용할 수 없음을 확인하였다. 이 내용은 일반 사용자들은 쉽게 모든 장비에서 빠른 네트워크 속도를 이용할 수 있을것으로 기대하고 있겠지만 드라이버 지원이 필요하고, 드라이버는 윈도우용만 지원하고 있어서 사실상 모든 장비가 제대로 네트워크의 충분한 기능을 이용할 수 없다는 내용의 확인을 기술지원세터로 부터 확인하였다. 이 부분을 제품 스펙표시에 반드시 표시해주면 좋겠다. 그랬다면 다른 모니터를 선택할 수 있었겠지만 약간은 아쉬움이 남는 제품 소개로 DELL 제품에 신뢰성에 문제가 생긴 이유가 되어 버렸다.

I purchased the U4323QE monitor, which boasts various ports and even a network Ethernet connection, to achieve a clean, cable-free desk setup. However, when I connected it to my MacBook via USB-C, I realized I couldn’t get the 1Gbps speed. While most users would naturally assume that such a high-speed network feature would work on any device, Dell’s technical support confirmed that driver support is required—and only a Windows driver is available. This means not all devices can fully utilize the monitor’s network capabilities.

I strongly suggest Dell clearly state this limitation in the product specifications. Had I known, I might have chosen a different monitor. This oversight has left me somewhat disappointed and has unfortunately damaged my trust in Dell’s product transparency.
