Data Domain：DD6410のBIOS Setup Password について
DD6410はDDOS8.3が導入されて、工場出荷されると認識しています。
DD6410の初期セットアップ完了後にBIOS Setup Passwordの変更が求められます。（以下）
BIOS Setup Password not set because of the following reasons
１）
BIOS Setup Password の設定が必要なDDOSは8.3以降でしょうか？
DDVE8.3以降は不要なのでしょうか？
２）
BIOS Setup Passwordの設定が必要になったのはどのような理由でしょうか？
３）
設定した BIOS Setup Passwordの入力を必要とするのはどのような状況時でしょうか？
どうぞよろしくお願い致します。

→ BIOS Setup Passwordの設定はDDOS 8.Xから入っています。（後述Security Configuration GuideのDDOS8.0からその記載があります）そのため設定は8.xからになります。
２）BIOS Setup Passwordの設定が必要になったのはどのような理由でしょうか？
→外部からの脅威に対して、DDOSや、BIOSを守るためのセキュリティ強化機能であるsecure bootがデフォルト化されたためです。
