A 100 GbE port is simply 4 25Gb channels combined into one fat port. The hardware on the switch backplane takes care of combining the channels so that the packets are received and transmitted in order, when it's connected to another 100GbE port.
The splitter simply lets you use each 25Gb lane separately.

ブレークアウトケーブルの用途は一つのインターフェースから光を配分して
複数のインターフェースに送信するためのものなので４股になっているからといって
全てをつなげる必要があるわけではないです。つなげられるポートにつなげてください。

ケーブルについて Transceiver Compatibility Matrix for Dell EMC Open Networking Switches
100G<>25Gケーブルリストがあります。（パーツコンパチサイトで確認しましたが上記パーツはS5248F-ON、S5232F-ONともに互換性ありでした。)

資料ありがとうございます。
100G<>25Gのケーブルを確認すると、片方は100Gで片方は4x25Gと
なっておりますが、片方は100GスイッチにケーブルのQSFP28側を挿すとして、
もう片方の25Gスイッチポートには、途中で4又に分かれているケーブルを
4つのポートに挿す、というイメージで正しいでしょうか？
また、一般的には100G<>25Gについてはこういった1対4のケーブルで
接続するものなのでしょうか？
この場合、例えば25Gポートが3つしか空きがない場合は、
4又のケーブルの内3つは挿して、残り1つは挿さない(空きがないので挿せない)
ということも接続的には可能なのでしょうか？
