adapter plugged-in but not in charge xps 9570

Hi,

starting today, my original dell adapter is pluged, lighten up (led), but not recognized by my system (neither in the bios: unknown adapter) as per dell power manager message ("plugged-in but not in charge"). Not a motherboard issue, since another dell adapter, althought with a much lower wattage (65w) is detected, working and charging.

I already had an issue with my battery, which was basically dead after 18 monts use, mainly on alim. Battery impossible to buy as it is not even available at dell, meaning that they expect you to buy a new machine when it is dead. Therefore, this is the second issue with this really expensive, so called "premium" laptop. So disappointing. Low quality. Do we have to invest several hundred bucks every year to keep the beast running???? This is not premium, this is low cost really!

I am really pissed at this machine, which I had bought for expected built-in quality, durability and robustness. Turns out to be much less reliable than my older machines, which I have run for over 5 years without any hardware issue. Environmentallywise, this is just apalling, forcing us to trash and buy. I am gonna start posting about these issues in forums across the web, since dell is just letting us down.
