About me

With over 20 years of software development experience, my current position as an Engineering Manager at EMC is the most exciting one in my career. I have the privilege to work with some of the most talented developers in the industry who are passionate about creating quality software products. I enjoy contributing to the product design and direction as well as writing aspects of the product code. I have been with the Email Archive team since 2001 having contributed to many releases of EmailXtender and now SourceOne for Email Management. More than half of those 20 years in this field have been with EMC (through acquisition) and prior to that I worked for several small companies as well as Digital. I graduated from Carnegie-Mellon University with a bachelor’s degree in both Mathematics and Computer Science. My profile picture was taken on vacation in the White Mountains of New Hampshire where I currently reside. I have many captions for this photo given that I chose to wear an EMC shirt that day. The obvious caption is being stuck between a rock and a hard place as a manager of new product development. Others include feeling the squeeze of the schedule pressure, moving mountains to get the product out the door, and banging my head against the rocky development cycle; but through it all keeping a positive outlook.
