XPS15 - rear case touching RAM and crashing
I changed my xps battery last July and have recently been experiencing crashed / frozen laptop. On immediate restart i get the 2 amber 4 white warning which tells me RAM issue.
I cleaned RAM and rebooted without back case and all fine. When I put back case back on... crash.
When I inspect inside of back case there is copper sheet with a black matt coating. I can see that the RAM board has rubbed away the black coating to expose copper...
I believe new battery lugs are thinner that original so back cover touches RAM when I secure it...
I need a packer / fix suggestion?

Cover the exposed metal with a piece of electrical (dielectric) tape. That will solve the problem.

@Putters69
It might also help if you told our users which specific XPS 15? There are 9 models.
