XPS 15 performance nosedives when loading my WordPress site
Hi everyone,
I’m using a Dell XPS 15 (model 9530) and I’ve been having a maddening problem every time I try to run my website SoCool, including the WordPress backend. The site will load, but then the machine starts to lag heavily, the browser eventually freezes, sometimes it crashes, and things that were once snappy now take ages. Before I know it I’m looking at a big slow‑down in speed and responsiveness, and it feels like the device is choking on something that others seem to be complaining about.
I’ve already gone through the usual fixes: updated Windows, checked for the latest BIOS and drivers, cleaned up the system, checked for thermal throttling, made sure my memory and storage are fine — but so far the problem persists. It’s frustrating because everything else works okay, but once I open the site (back end or front end) the performance drops dramatically.
Has anyone else here got the same model and experienced similar issues when working with WordPress sites or heavy‑browser‑based workflows? If so, what did you find fixed the issue (or at least improved it) for you? I’d really appreciate any tips or suggestions.
