XPS13 9345 Tandem OLED display surface

My XPS13 9345 has tandem OLED display which is same technology as used for iPadPro but looks not same or even worse. Display surface is a little shiny and slight waving to get uncomfortable reflection from ambient lights.

That makes me a little dissapointed and thinking of returning. Hoping any advice to know any technoque like extra wet coating, film sheet or even calibration in Windows.

Displays are more than just the OLED panel. The tandem OLED part does not have anything to do with reflections or glare, even on the iPad. The new iPad Pro uses etched glass on top to reduce glare. The etched pattern helps scatter the light like a matte display.

You can try using a matte screen protector for your XPS 13, but that is another layer on top of the display which comes with drawbacks too. I would just try adjusting the screen angle to minimize glare.

The XPS 13’s new tandem OLED design lowers power consumption for the same brightness compared to the older single-stack OLED, which helps extend battery life. This new design, combined with tandem technology, improves battery runtime by about 10% while also being thinner and lighter. As a result, the new XPS 13 is approximately 3% thinner and 5% lighter than the previous generation with its older OLED.

We spec all XPS OLEDs at 400 nits due to their inherently better contrast ratios compared to LCDs, which are spec’d at 500 nits. The new OLED design and tandem technology not only achieves lower power consumption, but also features HDR TrueBlack 500, with 1,000,000:1 contrast ratios and 1.07 billion colors.
