XPS sticky coating solution
Hi, so I came across this post describing the carbon coating of the XPS becoming sticky over time: https://www.dell.com/community/en/conversations/xps/xps-rubber-coating-sticky/647f9e93f4ccf8a8de330b75?page=4
I found a solution, but the original discussion is closed, so I'll post it here. May it help someone, eventually:
Just use a wood chisel, you can scrap off the coating easily. Afterwards wipe once with 99% isopropyl alcohol (available at any pharmacy / drugstore).
No more sticky :)

The whole process took me just a few minutes and the outcome is fine.
Cheers !
Disclaimer: Obviously a chisel is a sharp tool and you may introduce minor scratches in the surface. The laptop may suffer cosmetic damages.
