XPS L702x, from 8GB to 16GB?
Hi, I have a Dell XPS L702x Laptop 17" HD Core i7 2670QM 8GB. I want to upgrade it to 16GB. What is the best Memory Sodimm I should be looking for? And is there any latest BIOS updates for this Intel 7 Laptop?

Crucial is the most compatible RAM for Dell systems but check your system first as some L702x only had 2 RAM slots for a maximum of 8GB whereas others had 4 slots for a maximum of 16GB. The latest BIOS can be found here and is dated June 2020.

It has 2 Slots using a Intel 7 CPU, would a BIOS update allow me to increase the memory using the 2 slots ?

@Kaspersbones I would very much doubt it. You can update the BIOS but Dell clearly states that a system with 2 slots has a maximum of 8GB.
