XPS 9520 BIOS 1.29.0 BIOS causes HAL events
XPS 15 9520
Since updating to BIOS 1.29.0, one of the various issues is repeated HAL events logged trying to query the RTC.
Rolling back the BIOS results in no more logged events
The hardware real-time clock was not queried because evaluation of the ACPI Time and Alarm Device method failed. Status: 0xC00000BB.
The hardware real-time clock was not set because evaluation of the ACPI Time and Alarm Device method failed. Status: 0xC00000BB.
No Events found!

Having the same issues on a user's machine. Confirmed Dell BIOS is on the latest version.
Did anyone ever find a solution to this?

@wh25ct Only by downgrading and disabling WU until Dell admit there is an issue and fix it, I asked the live chat to look at this post, but as per usual, nothing is being done at the moment.

BIOS 1,30 is out, it looks like they silently patched it.

Seeing the same issue on Dell Latitude 5450 with latest BIOS update. Really wish Dell could be bothered to respond here.

Dell, I'll never buy another of their products after this, oh and sneaking in that they no longer cover batteries as part of the extended warranty or giving you the option to buy one for it, kept that quiet your sneaky
